When will my order ship?

All online orders will now ship 3-7 business days of being placed. All inventory is current on our website, allowing orders to be pulled and shipped quickly! If you see an item out of stock, we are working quick to restock, so check back in a few days, to place your order. We are always making and restocking our core subjects for year-round availability. Seasonal items do not restock until the next box release.

Shipping is now being done in our larger warehouse, so we can expedite orders more efficiently. School purchase orders are manually processed and do require a few additional days to process and ship.

What is the order deadline to guarantee Christmas shipping?

Order received by December 13th are guaranteed to be shipped by December 17th, which will guarantee arrival before Christmas. All orders placed between December 14th and December 16th, cannot be guaranteed arrival by Christmas, but we will do our best to get them filled and shipped with our December 17th pick-up, but cannot guarantee it.

I am missing an order or have a problem, what can I do?

They are ready to resolve any issues as soon as possible! This is the quickest way to reach our office staff. Where do I find the instructions for the weekly crafts?

Inside the Unit Study! If you purchased the hands-on activity box, the instruction for each craft is built right into the Unit Study. As you work through each week, you will find instructions for weekly crafts. Look for the pages that say, “Hands-on Activity” and look for the week circle at the bottom left of the page, indicating which craft kit to use. Each craft kit corresponds with each week and has the corresponding week sticker on the bag. If you are working in week 3, you will pull the week 3 craft kit.

Are there discounts for sibling boxes?

Our science and history boxes do have a discounted family pack option. Our family pack options have enough craft materials for each child to complete each project. Our family packs also include a printed unit study for each child, a full unit study and the sibling unit study pack. We love working on history and science as a family and offer options for discounted pricing to help encourage family learning.

Do you offer monthly subscriptions?

We do not offer any monthly subscriptions on our website. All items are single ship. If you order any of our Seasonal Literature Packs, or Kids2Chef boxes in advance, they will ship on the date they release.

The box I wanted it out of stock, how often is inventory re-stocked?

We keep our core subject boxes available year-round: history, science, geography, and literature. If you see an item out of stock, check back in a few days. We are always making more! We sell out of items quickly, so if you see something you want, grab it while its available.

Do you rotate your literature boxes?

Yes, we do! To keep shipping as quick as possible, we can only offer a small selection of literature boxes at one time. We have over 120 literature boxes that we have designed and sold, and we will bring some of them back throughout the year, along with new literature box titles. So, keep an eye out for new literature boxes appearing throughout the year, and be sure to grab the titles you want when they are available.

Do you really hand-pack your craft kits?

Yes! Call us crazy! All of our boxes are hand-made, almost every kit in each box is pulled and put together by hand. A labor of love!

Why the brown box?

Simple! We wanted to put more money into our boxes, instead of on the box! We didn’t feel like it was fair for you to pay for our advertising as your box went through the mail. We also did not want to be restricted on size, if the design of a new craft was too big for a box, we simply ship it in a larger box! We also re-use the boxes in some of our hands-on crafts!

What ages are your boxes for?

Our boxes are designed for all ages. We have boxes geared towards young, early learners up to older advanced readers. Our history and science boxes are great for the entire family. You know your child and their learning style and abilities, so please look through the images in the description to see if the unit is a good fit for your child. Crafts can be done by all ages, and the outcome will reflect your child’s age and ability. Each Unit Study has pages for both older and younger, so the family can work through it together. Don’t be surprised when you find your older child having fun with the simple pages for younger kids too!

How long does it take to complete a box?

Most boxes are designed for 12-weeks of learning; however, some kids work through the unit study and activities quicker, and some work through it slower. If you work through a box as a family, you can do science one a week for a few hours, and get through the week’s material in one sitting, or break it up learning throughout the week. If your child is working through it independently, they can work through it at their own pace.

Do you accept Charter School orders?

Yes, we do! Please look under your approved vendor list for Homeschool In A Box or Crafty School Crates, and submit your order through your school. Please note that discounts are not available when ordering through a school, with a school purchase order. Discounts or sales, apply to online orders only.

What Charter Schools do you work with?
