Hi, I am Mariah, homeschooling mom of 7, creator, designer, and founder of Homeschool In A Box and Crafty School Crates. If you can imagine, the first year of my homeschooling journey was not as easy as I had envisioned. It was full of bumps, adjustments, tears, and moments of wanting to send the kids back to school, homeschooling was hard! About half-way through our first year, I paused using the curriculum I had spent so much time and effort in choosing, and I began creating lessons and unit studies that incorporated the hands-on activities and fun that my children were missing in their daily learning. As I saw my children more engaged, having fun, and asking to learn more, I suddenly found myself and my children enjoying our homeschooling journey. My kids began to love learning and wanted to learn more! As they asked to learn about something, I created a way that would be engaging and fun, and after 5 years of homeschooling my children, the idea of sharing my ideas and creating my product, developed into an exciting business that is able to help make learning fun for so many kids and easy for so many parents!
